The hospital provides individualized care directed to the specific needs of each patient. and our center offers 20-bed critical care unit, skilled nursing unit, progressive care unit, medical and surgical units, family birthplace center, and a 24-hour emergency department. Other services include a diagnostic imaging department, company care (a workers compensation program), and an outpatient rehabilitation facility.

We are seeking an experienced Coder - Inpatient.
Must have following:

-CCS required, RHIT or RHIA required

-Knowledge of ICD-9 coding guidelines and DRG assignment

-HIPAA Privacy and Security experience preferred

-2-5 years of acute care inpatient hospital coding experience. This position is a credentialed coder who assigns ICD-9 codes to diagnoses and procedures and abstracts codes and patient data into the Financial and Clinical computer systems. The qualified candidate must be able to analyze, enter, and manipulate data for accurate DRG assignments.
